I found some people talking about issues like this but it never seemed like there was any resolution. I've searched this forum (and others) quite a bit for a solution. Still, the device won't boot into the USB. The boot menu in the bios can see the flash drive it correctly identifies the device and even lets me set it as the first and only option in the boot order menu. The problem I'm now at is that the system won't boot into the flash drive. I wrote the Mint ISO to a flash drive, plugged it into the tablet (it does have a USB 3.0 port), and tried booting into it from Android-x86's bios. After doing so, the touchscreen almost completely stopped working and I never was able to figure out what the issue was, so I decided to scrap that idea and just throw Linux on it. I wiped Windows and installed Android on it because I wanted to use it as a more generic Android tablet. I have a Smartab STW1050 currently running Android-x86.
